IntraHealth has experience of delivering community anticoagulant monitoring services to 13 CCGs in England since 1999. We manage more than 12,000 patients annually and performed more than 150,000 near patient INR tests in 2016/17, including 37,500 home-visits.
We provide a ‘one-stop shop’ near patient testing service (both clinic & home-visit) with anticoagulant initiation, stabilization, monitoring and dosing, Mondays – Friday, 8.30 – 5.30 pm.
We provide well trained, accredited and competent specialist clinicians to deliver our service to ensure that we deliver standardised and clinically effective anticoagulation management.
All IntraHealth staff receive competency-based training and must complete the ‘Teesside University Certificate of Professional Development in Anticoagulation’.
