We are offering an exciting opportunity to widen and develop our experience in Primary Care with the additional benefit of developing your area of special interest.


IntraHealth is a primary care service provider with practices in county Durham. We are offering this post as part of the Health Education North East and north Cumbria post-CCT GP Fellowship Programme. Your main employment will be within the EPMG William Brown Centre GP Practice, with additional fellowship sessions in the field of child and family medicine working alongside specialist providers, local agencies and authorities, the post also includes protected personal development time.


Employment is initially on a fixed term full-time contract for 12 months (less than WT working can be accommodated on a pro-rota basis for example 0.8 WTE will mean the post is 16 months in length). With the intention of future permanent employment.


The appointment offer will be flexible to personal requirements but all will include:

  • 4 sessions in general practice
  • 4 sessions developing joint working between primary care and providers working in community child and family Health (one of these sessions can be agreed as an additional education session focusing upon the fellowship role).
  • 1 session of funded education and personal development
  • Mentorship and support will be provided by the GP trainers within the practice


The post is aimed primarily at those GPs who are within 2 years of completing their CCT-GP (0r CEGPR). PLEASE NOTE any applicant who successfully completes the CCT-GP (or CEGPR) prior to the end of the financial year end 2018/2019 is eligible to apply for the fellowship.
