IntraHealth is one of the UK’s leading provider of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.

 

We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services for 19 years. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), nurses, pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back office function; providing finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.

 

We operate NHS services across the North East, Midlands and the North West.

 

We are seeking Pharmacists to work within our expanding Medicines Optimisation and Clinical Pharmacist team.

 

We deliver pharmacist services to CCGs and GP practices within the North East. We have a strong working relationship with GP Federations and we will be working closely with them to continue to expand the role of the Pharmacist. You will be part of an organisation which has over 20 years’ experience of Primary Care pharmacy and is a leader in Primary Care Medicines Optimisation. We are running three of the National Clinical Pharmacist Pilot sites.

Our range of services include:-

  • Management of medicines following admission and discharge to hospital
  • Oversight of repeat prescribing requests and systems
  • Acute medication requests – assessment of suitability of request
  • Repeat medication re-authorisation and issue
  • Supervision of monitored dosage systems
  • Conducting medication review clinics, and giving advice for patients
  • Management and support of patients with long term illness

We are looking to recruit staff with good communication and interpersonal skills, to work alongside our diverse, experienced teams in the North East. You will be expected to work autonomously but also as part of the team.
