Immunisation Nurses – Cheshire

IntraHealth is one of the UK’s leading providers of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.

We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since the company was founded in 1999. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), nurses, pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back office function, providing finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.

We operate NHS services across the North East, North West and Yorkshire.

IntraHealth is recruiting to our bank of Registered Health Nurses to work in Cheshire East, Chester and Cheshire West, Warrington and Wirral.

The majority of this work will be from September to December to support with the flu programme however there may be some requirement during the remainder of the year.

• You will work in teams and autonomously, assisted by IntraHealth’s school admin support within the school setting whilst delivering vaccinations.
• You will be required to follow all IntraHealth’s policies and all safety measures that are in place.
• You will be asked to undertake a Risk Assessment before commencing a session.
• You will be responsible for managing the cold chain in school.
• You must be able to lift and transport a vaccine bag.
• You will be required to attend (in person) a Flu Training Day and to undertake on-line training before commencing work.
• You must be able to drive, have access to a vehicle and business insurance as travelling to schools is an integral part of the role.
• An Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.

Generally, nurses are needed during school term-time only but there is ad-hoc support needed at community clinics during holidays or in the evenings / weekends.

We can offer flexibility on part-time or full-time hours, working either set days each week or ad-hoc as needed on our rota.
