BANK Immunisation Nurses – Greater Manchester

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 20th May 2026

Casual / Bank Contracts, Greater Manchester

IntraHealth is one of the UK’s leading providers of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.

We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since the company was founded in 1999. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back-office function, providing finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.

IntraHealth Ltd delivers immunisation and vaccination services for NHS England across several areas in the UK. Our immunisation and vaccination service has been running since 2009 and forms part of our established clinical services in the North of England.

We are recruiting Bank Immunisation Nurses to join our Immunisation & Vaccination Team in Greater Manchester, who will attend schools to vaccinate children against, Influenza with the potential to administer catch-up vaccinations such as Td/IPV, MenACWY, HPV and MMR.

Applicants will be required to have access to a car, their own business insurance and have a valid NMC registration with no restrictions on working with children and immunisations. Experience administering immunisations is also essential, with addition to working in a fast-paced busy environment. Vaccination sessions are during school hours therefore nurses must be available between 9:00am to 15:30pm to ensure a smooth vaccination session. You may also be required to attend the office to complete clinical triage when support is not needed in schools to administer vaccinations.

Basic knowledge of IT is essential as you will be working from a company laptop/tablet using NHS England’s immunisation platform MAVIS.

During larger immunisation sessions it may be necessary to take more equipment to schools than smaller sessions, therefore you may be asked to support our school admin teams by attending the office to collect equipment and transporting these to school. Having a good level of fitness is beneficial to be able to lift vaccination bags weighing up to 20kg.

We currently have positions across all boroughs of Greater Manchester, with offices located in Royton, Denton, Trafford Park and Bolton.

Candidates successful at interview will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check by IntraHealth, followed by both online and face-to-face training. Therefore, availability from July 2026 with vaccinating from September 2026 is essential.

If you feel that you meet the requirements for this role, and wish to apply, then please send a covering letter (with details of 2 referees) and CV to our HR department by post or email.
