IntraHealth is one of the UK’s leading provider of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.

We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since 1999. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back office function; providing finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.

We operate NHS services across the North East, North West and Yorkshire.

IntraHealth are currently recruiting for a Salaried General Medical Practitioner to help deliver our vision of high-quality medical services at our well-established, progressive, friendly practice team in Peterlee.

At William Brown Centre we are progressive and dynamic, embracing new technology and ways of working ranging from daily telephone triage to video and e-consultations.

We offer a flexible approach to division of roles and responsibilities within our small friendly and experienced practice team.  The clinical teams are also well supported by an excellent administration and management team; this allows our GPs to concentrate on clinical work.

Daily clinical meetings are held as a support mechanism and patient appointments are estimated at 12 minutes in duration.

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced GP looking to take a leading role in improving patients’ outcomes especially in areas such as diabetes and contributing towards redesigning services locally by representing the practice.

We are a training practice and host various trainees (Pre Reg Pharmacists, Medical Students, Registrars, Foundation Doctors etc) We are keen to recruit a GP who is currently a trainer of keen to become a trainer or is willing to mentor some of our current trainees or students in the practice.

You will be a team player who is keen to support and contribute to our program of continuous improvements and weekly clinical meetings and work with us to ensure we maintain our high QOF results.

Preferable GP trainer if not must be willing to train to become a GP Trainer. The candidate will preferably have general surgical background and a preference to train within the practice’s vasectomy clinic.
